So my mom drove my car through a standing puddle of latex house paint.
Fortunately, I got it all off of the body, but its still all over the fender liners and in the treads of my one week old Yokos. It seems to be comign of the tires nicely, but the inside of my wheel wells are hideous. Any one know of a good paint stripper I can use on plastic?

Kids don't let moms drive their cars. First time my mom drove the Porsche she tore the door half off
That was the only time she drove it.
Check the garage for a metal-gallon thing of paint stripper, does all kinds, read label for plastic usage. It is the really thick brown stuff, and you know you got it.
Also, guess the power went out there; can you turn on the PC in my office?

BTDT. Latex in wheel wells.....it will come off after a couple rain showers
Ignore it for now....a couple of rain showers will get it all off. TIres....who cares? It will be off the tires pretty quick.
I was picking up a gallon of latex white a couple years ago, and when I was taking it out of my trunk, the handle broke off, and when the can hit the pavement it exploded all over me, the car, the driveway. It was latex, so it came off the car paint pretty quick, but there was still some white deep in the seams of the body. It was all gone in a month or so.

I drove in the dirt for a few feet, and that scrubbed most of it out of the tires. The rest is
is slowly coming out of the wheel wells. There are only a few places where it is still stuck on the paint, and that is down low on the rough part below the bottom of the doors.
Unfortunately, this was a whole five gallon bucket of a tan house paint. There was quite a bit of it all over the car. It was even on the side windows. I'm looking at color matched VW splash guards now. The 225 Yoks sling a lot of stuff up.

Possibly
Depends on how I feel after my drive back from Baltimore. I'm going to pick up the Scirocco that Friday and driving home. Let's plan it tentativly. I'm more concerned about getting pictures. If you think you can do the R&R on you own then perhaps just take some detailed R&R pics during the install....
