Default It is bankrupt...oh you meant the finances.

It's politically incorrect but Miami is North Havana. I love Cuban people (we'll, I loved a few before I got married anyway) but I don't want to be assaulted with the culture.

That said, I'd kill for a decent arroz con pollo or a good Cuban sandwich.

Default true, I wouldn't move there unless I was fluent in spanish.

Nothing wrong with Spanish, its just that life would be easier down there if you knew the language.

Default They speak to you in spanish first and roll their eyes if you don't know it.

Very insulting.

Default Wasn't that invented by the French?

I remember it well from my trips to Paris. Never happened to me in Miami, tho.

Default As far as beach towns, I never liked Daytona.

Seems very redneck whenever I have to go over there, and it is too much about NASCAR.

Default Agreed, and so are other areas of SW FL

On I-75 between Naples and Fort Myers, for example, traffic often is pretty solid, so an accident can cause back-ups that last hours. Even without an accident, there are times "in season" when traffic slows to a crawl simply because it's so heavy. I know because I've dialed *FHP on my cell phone several times while stuck in that traffic, only to be told it's "normal" and there is no accident.

I-75 also is becoming congested by Sarasota because aside from Hwy 41, several miles west, I-75 is the only major north-south route & the whole area is growing like crazy. I believe that's also the case for Ft. Myers.

Where were the planners 10-20 years ago? Being usurped by developers, I guess.
