Default Well...we've taken apart a Torsen center diff....(pics to follow later)

We've taken apart the center diff that Bill donated to us. Long story short...this diff got pretty beat up. Instead of expecting to find a total of 8 washers, we found 5 washers, a few of which look like somebody went to town with a dremel with. A few teeth or missing from a few of the gears

Default Is your hard core autocrossing to blame for this?

I've never heard of a torsen going out before....

Default It's the one Bill gave to him. Ditto on torsen toughness.

Some of the turbo'd Miatas that run the torsen rear lsd's never have any reported failures even when drag racing.

Default this is moreso from heat build-up over time of running different sized rubber

The case is warped to where the top "hat" of the case won't go back onto it...it's made it tricky getting the side gears back into the housing while I'm "learning" how to put one of these back together.

there are 1 or 2 washers that are MIA, there are a few pieces in the picture. The entire center diff trans housing was scored and cut up inside :\
