the software i have is recent as of summer 2003, maybe i need an update. noticed a few cops behind overpasses with a gun in hand aimed at me with the valentine silent. needless to say the trip became quite bothersome. my dad pointed out that the unit felt quite hot the touch to him after only a few hour drive. everything seemed fine this weekend on the trip to jax, radar went off the typical way early and of course the arrows and bogey count saved the day again.
still a bit disconcerting though, not going off those few times could have been a serious problem.

But the V1 worked like a charm for the real thing-- they launched a new crackdown around Gainesville due to unusually high mortality rates in recent crashes. We got hit 3 times by laser-- up to six patrol cars pulling people over after each ambush.
V1 saw it coming in plenty of time.
