Default ick. It is all over the midwest. Worst idea ever.

Corn <> fuel as an efficient thing to do...

They just upped the ratio to 80% gas 20% ethanol in some areas North of Chicago and Milwaukee.. People don't like it (less MPG, less power, but YMMV).

Default The only ethanol worth running is E85...you can run ST00pid amounts of ignition timing...

A little while back a guy in the Colorado area was able to run his 100octane program due to the high altitude...for being "only" a K04'd 1.8T, it was making big torque numbers.

Unfortunatly for us Sea Level folks...we'd need to upgrade to larger injectors to get away with what he's doing.

Link to DenverN00b's post about running E85

Default Something like 80-85% of the cars sold in Brazil are Flex Fuel

Designed for gas or mostly ethanol "gas" Unlike the cars we have here. Most of their cars are from GM too, IIRC.

Modern Marvels had a segment on Brazil when they did alternative fuels. Brazil has been trying to rid themselves of oil dependency on other countries for many years now, way ahead of the game compared to other countries.

E10 is different then E85. Brazil is running mostly on the E85 IIRC.
