Default window problems on b5

I know this should probably be in a different forum but the other day I was driving and as I rolled down my rear driver side window and hear a cracking sound and my window drops. It didnt sound like glass cracking, more like plastic, or maybe something just bending in a direction it shouldnt. I looked up the tech article on how to replace track sliders and what not, and made a call to a few window places. The problem im finding is that classic audi doesnt have an opening until the 27th, and other glass companies either want to replace the entire window or just wont touch it at all. I just need to get the window to stay up at least, it just keeps sliding back down. Basically I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem and what they did or who they took it to in order to fix it. Im in the UCF area and have a b5 s4 thanks guys.

Sounds like a window regulator, take off the door panel and find a way to prop up the glass.

hey mike i appreciate it, i just saw the reply today (wednesday), i've tried to stay away from the computer a bit since i have to study for my finals. I ended up takind the door panel off and found a way to keep it up, i found a small broken white plastic ring at the bottom of the door, i take it thats what caused the problem, there is no part number on the piece but there is a small #12 or 16 i dont exactly remember, but i figure thats just for size reference. Im going to take it to Braman Audi when im back home in west palm for break thanks again i appreciate the help guys
