AAN swap mated to an 016 (4kq) tranny; What clutch to use?
#2
If I remember correctly...
5kq 280mm clutch friction plate.
Either 7a flywheel and pressure plate or AAN Flywheel and pressure plate. Either work.
Good time to go to a Fidanza aluminium flywheel.

Only concern with that...
IIRC the 4kq clutch/fw is in a different position than the 7a/NG/AAN...
and I also need the 135 tooth ring gear, plus TDC pin for the OE fuel/ignition.

I didn't say 4kq clutch or fw?
5ktq clutch (240mm), which has the correct splines on for the 4kq tranny.
7A or AAN flywheel (240mm) which has the TDC Pin in the right spot.
7A or AAN flywheel.
