hi guys..
currently,i do my project which to improve the air induction system for in line 4 cylinder normal aspirated engine.instead of using air box i also put the bell mouth in front bumper and then connecting it to the air box using hose and then from air box to the intake manifold, the advantage is as the car running the air will flow faster to the air box and then to intake manifold, perhaps i can the increase volumetric efficiency,my question is in order to reduce the air restriction, can i put my air filter in the air box which the air flow from outside will flow from inside of the filter to outside, this is reverse from normal flow for air filter( suction air from outside to inside). To anyone answer this, thank you.

and away from the motor. If that is what you are asking, yes,it makes no difference.
As far as improving volumetric efficiency it will only sound different.
