1. My speedometer (and odometer) don't work, and may never work. Also, my temp gauge, boost gauge, etc aren't very reliable. I'd like a data aquisition system that is capable of displaying speed and gauage information as I drive.
2. I'd love to have video intergated with the G-Force and speed information.
I don't know if there is any system that meets these criteria.
Where's S4 in Margharitaville (Jeff) when you need him)?

"thinking of hanging a ping-pong ball under RR mirror (a la fuzz dice style) to visually capture accelerations,"
Is that possible on a Miata?
I will have Traqmate in my car. Dunno what you can see unless you borrow it and put it in your car. I used to rent them out, but I kinda need it this weekend.

units from stack, aim, motec, and probably others can do all of that...i think the g2x can do some/most of it
i think you can add video to most of the systems but honestly, once you start using data and seeing how its used and what its used for, the video stuff really isnt that useful...imho, its really just a cool thing to look at...

not just fwd. Basturd! :-P
I just want to play w/ the interface and see how one would analyze the data after downloading it. No need to mount it in my car, tho that would be cool tho.

I heard people use this thing called a ScanGauge, that plugs into OBD-II port and can display (digitally on LCD) OBD parameters in pseudo realtime... on top of acting as an OBD-II scanner. Tho you'll need OBD-II car (>'96)... wait, that doesn't help you w/ the 944T does it?
