I'm way out of shape but I would be up for getting back into it this summer. May need to have the bike cleaned and tuned before hand. Dufour I'm sure you're more than qualified right? =)

thing is, I'm really not that good at it. See, I don't fit into crowds, I hate following.

impact. Causes knocking while hitting sharp edged objects in particular (or dropoffs).
The rings compress slightly when under impact (on sharp edged objects, the front compresses; on dropoffs, the rear), which puts uneven load on the bearings. This causes excess bearing wear, similar to what riding around with a loose headset would cause - except because it's only under impact, if you tighten the headset up enough to prevent it, the headset becomes too tight/stiff while riding normally and can cause excess bearing wear that way.
Now, all that said, I use carbon fiber spacers myself (as mentioned in my other post) - just a smaller stack. Only seen it be a problem once before on the sales manager's FR bike at the shop I worked at back in college, but he did abuse that bike pretty badly!

Errmmmm, wait...
"The target buyer for Yaris values individuality and personal style," said Tony Wearing, director of Toyota Canada. "They appreciate the chance to create a total package that's uniquely their own."
I got your personal style right <a href="http://www.rides-mag.com/online/?p=725">here</a>. :-0

I know I could do a spacer above to lower stem for trial purposes. My bar is only 3/4" rise so I left the stem high on purpse to start.
Anyway - thanks for the tip. I'll keep my eye on it.
