Default Boy, I hope you are right. Keep in mind that despite your best efforts, you wil never....

... be able to return it to the market value that it had before you hit the pole. Make sure you get a very thorough analysis and estimate before you spend a dime. Let a couple of days go by to make certain that you are not making an emotional decision.

Default ^^^ good advice

If it were me, I would be hopeful that the insurance company would total it. I know it sucks, and you're clearly emotionally attached to the S, but having a car that's been in a significant accident is negative in many ways.

best of luck and glad to hear you're ok.

Default yeh, it hurts..lol still has set in..as far as the decision.

I dont have any choice. I cant report it, and i owe to much to let it sit. Im not worried about market value, i plan on keeping it forever..when it gets so bad that rats are living in the engine bay. i will make it into furniture for me` casa..muaha

Default Good luck with the repair, not sure its worth not going through the insurance...

If you had comprehensive ins., then it would be covered if you had to swerve to avoid the motorcycle. As for the repairs, I'll help you out if you want to buy new parts... As for CF fenders, I'd say skip, since the OEM ones weigh next to nothing.

"..won't go threw insurance..." is a little different from "...can't report it..."
