Default Ah, Maine. Land of beauty, land of lobsters, ever-changing weather, and at least 1 bad driver.

I took some damage today. My last accident was 14 years ago.

It was around 5:30pm in Augusta, ME. After snapping some photos of the beautiful Maine Capitol Building, I entered the traffic circle nearby. It had 2 lanes, an inner and outer lane. I stayed on the outer lane so I could see where I needed to get out of the circle to get back to 95 to head back towards Portland.

I was in my lane, and the next thing I knew, a Saturn in the inner lane tried to make an exit. Her right front hit my driver's door. I saw it happening, but I couldn't go anywhere or do anything about it. I'm not quite sure how she thought she could go through me.

She says I hit her.

Anyways, the major impact was around the hinge portion of the driver's door/driver's fender. It looks worse now because I had to bend it to get the door open.

Pictures to come at some point. I'm depressed.

And it's been such a good trip up to this point.

So sorry to hear about this. The car can be repaired; most important thing is that you are OK.
