Default Animal spotted in my yard. Mangy fox or a young coyote?

<center><img src="http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p11/gcirillo/20080510fox006.jpg?t=1210613158"></center><p>It's a real looker. It was scatching itself before the shot, and it was 1PM (full daylight) so my money is on a sick, mange-infested fox.

Default I think you're right, and it is definitely a candidate for the .223

The remnants of dark legs... red fox. I love spotting a healthy one, but that one looks beyond help.

Default It's sick as the others have said... at a minimum place a call to animal control

let them know the time and place you spotted. You can provide the picture. Then they can keep an eye out for it.

If it was spotted in the daylight, its not a good sign. Keep cat and dogs inside or secured till you know its gone. I would think at this point its got less than a week to live if its not caught or shot by then.

Default Thx. Monkey County says they can't do anything unless it's visible and "staggering...

... or falling down and stuff." (Literal transcription.) So should I help it to become staggering and falling down?

She first tried to pass it off as a coyote but I said an expert named "BlueDog" says otherwise. She straightened right up.
