Antisocial DIY day. Replaced my C32's intercooler pump Saturday.

<center><img src="http://www.c32life.com/intercooler.jpg"></center><p>The intercooler pumps (lower left in pic) are known to croak at about 50,000 miles. Symptoms are that the supercharger protects itself by disengaging when IAT exceeds a certain level. So you go from 350HP to about 150HP without warning.
MB forums have identified a twin Bosch pump that is used in the SVT Ford Lightning S/C truck. Wiring is a little different, and you need to swap some external bits; but it costs ($100)about 1/3 of what MB charges for the same thing. Gotta love the interweb.
Some C32 owners have adapted a higher-flow Johnson Marine pump. Maybe next time.

on my track car. Impact driver (electric in my case) made the job of compressing coil-over springs SOOOooo much easier & faster than doing it manually! Now I need to get new alignments before VIR at end of March.
