Default Anybody into karting?

My two girls (11 and 12 years old) are sharing a cadet kart with a Comer K80 motor at DC SCCA autocrosses this year. They just took a kart class with the DC SCCA autocross group yesterday and had the time of their life. They love it, and I like seeing them drive fast, oversteer, etc.

Anybody know of local shop that is good with karts, preferably in northern Virginia?

Anybody a member of the Woodbridge Kart Club? This is one of the oldest and biggest kart clubs in the U.S. They run at places including VIR and Summit Point.

Default Allsports in Sterling has a good indoor karting facility. Some of us are

trying to plan something there soon.

http://www.allsportsgp.com/</a

Default I used to race with Woodbridge Kart Club back in the late 90's.

I loved it. We raced all over. Daytona, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Road Atlanta, Loudon, Savannah and of course Summit Point.

The only bad news is that it is the most dangerous form of kart racing.

Thanks. I've been to Allsports a number of times. I'm looking for a shop that sells/repairs karts.

Default send me an e-mail and I'll get you some info. A friend of mine races, and he

lives out in Leesburg.

Default Nice! You try emailing Vic Madrid or the Garfields?

You can also just post in the yahoo groups and ask. Both Vic and the garfields post often there.

Ah, misunderstood your post. Still, maybe they can point you in the right direction?

Default I've been in touch with Brian Garfield. He ran the kart school on Saturday.

I don't know Vic Madrid, besides that he almost always has Fastest Time of the Day at SCCA Auto-X events in his kart. What Yahoo board are you referring to?

Default That doesn't sound good, "the most dangerous form of kart racing."

Maybe I better go up to Summit Point when they are running to see what you mean.
