All were replaced at 40k miles, not around 82k miles, so just a little over 40k

I don't think they are going bad, they are just fouled up.

no, ended up not doing it. Finally got the cats this morning and had them welded in

but because the welder had to disconnect the battery some of the readiness codes weren't ready and I wasn't able to pass emissions. I'll wait a couple days and see if all the codes reset and them try again. If the cats readiness still doesn't set I might pull the sensors at that point.
