I thought it would be interesting to share this little tidbit.
A good friend of mine is working on the event production side of the Audi Driving Experience 'show' as it travels across the country. She said it was my passion for Audis and the track that convinced her it was a good idea to take the job. Why couldn't I be offered a job like that???
Anyways, Sonoma is the first event for this cycle and is her first contact with track driving, racing, and enthusiasts like us. I'm just always interested outsiders' thoughts and initial impressions of our world...
Here's what she had to say:
----
Sonoma is gorgeous. And the Infineon speed way rocks. I've seen the two-hour Audi program run all day yesterday. And actually, it appears that they're running it again today as the cars just passed again. Round and round. They had formula one racers out yesterday in the early afternoon. Or maybe they were formula three. I can't yet tell the difference. And the muscle cars had track time in the afternoon. I'm guessing they are personal vehicles that folks bring to either beat on the track or for time trials.
Tomorrow is our first race day here. Then on to Chicago on Saturday. Racing is a totally crazy drama-filled world. This will be cool for a while, then it will definitely be time to get back home.
Hope all is well!

Ok, so she still has a bit to learn...but I'm encouraged by her enthusiasm. I'm looking forward to Summit Point next month
