LOUISA, Va. (AP) - One of the reactors at Dominion Virginia Power's North Anna facility remains offline after routine refueling and the discovery of a faulty transformer.
Company spokesman Richard Zuercher says the North Anna 2 reactor in Louisa County should be back online in less than a week.
The 921-megawatt reactor went offline Sept. 13 for refueling, and was being restored to full power when the transformer problem was discovered on Oct. 29.
North Anna's Unit 1 continues to operate at full power.
Each of North Anna's two units is refueled about every 18 months on an alternating schedule. Refueling typically takes four to six weeks.

Should have ended a month ago but the generator rewind project had a major F-up. Then...
one of the main xfmrs blew up just before going online 10 days ago. The outage that would never end.
