Default Drew will argue with me, I think stoptechs are perfectly adequate...

They may not be the absolute best, but they are more than capable of handling street driving plus a track event a month. I've had mine for the past 5 years or so and haven't had any real issues. You're more than welcome to drive my car at any point and see how they feel with a street pad installed.

Default I'm in the same pickle...

This is my take,

Stoptech - Great for the B5's but they have not changed anything since 2001. I think the etra heft of the B6/B7 cars change the brake bias. I do love the concept of aero vanes to dispell the rotor heat. Affordable

ECS - I have them on my wifes' Jetta (Stage 1 f/r), they perform great but they have never really been tracked. Stage 2-4 look pretty good. I'm just leary of the availablity of track pads for the Stage 5 Cayenne calipers. Inexpensive. You may also consider 2Bennett as well.

Stasis - They are on top of my list right now, specifically they campaign B6/B7 cars with their setup so it should be tuned for my car. Can't speak to the B5's. Con - they are expensive and not very attractive, for that kind of money it would be nice to have some candy to look at!!

I hope to make a decision and purchase something in the next month. Let us know what you finally decide.

Default Jim/Fairfax just went through this and went StopTech. Seems like a no brainer.

They work well and offer a range of pads.
