Default Congrats to Rfan for learning his first oil change :-)

Just teasing... here's some pics from tonight... Using the new <b>034 115 561 B</b> upgraded oil filter... Engine took about 4.5 quarts.

My first was in '92 on an '87 Audi 5000...which became my first car 4 years later.

Default There was a girl that took "auto shop" in hi school with me.....

back in '87, my sophomore year. Her first oil change, involved taking the engine out &amp; having the oil filter chiseled off, and the mating surface on the block of her ......early '80's ford escort had to be machined flat again. She'd just thought you had to keep the oil topped off, &amp; that an oil change wasn't necessary. That filter had about 40-50k on it, was our guess.

Default wow. one of the guys on the b5 boards, rka...

one of his coworkers didnt know you were supposed to change the oil. same deal. the oil slowly turned to sludge and shot the motor. thats sure one way to learn.

Default thanks for the help roger. you know we forgot to top off the coolant..

now i just gotta figure out where the leak is.
