Considering a 2000 S4.. Info anyone..?
Hi All, Im thinking of picking up a '00 S4, with about 110k miles on it. PO claims new clutch and bunch of other things positive, and the pics look good.. But I have no clue on these cars, mainly cause they dont have 5 cylinders..lol
Any opinions..?
Thanks in advance,
Hal

Have a sense of humor and deep pockets.
The rewards when driving it are fantastic. Sucks when things break as nothing is cheap. Mine has been relatively solid, except for the usual wear items (CV boots, brakes, and now control arms)...oh and a blown turbo.
A couple S4 posts worth reading:

I've learned a lot about the car over the past month while rebuilding. I can't wait to have her back on the road this weekend.

If so, most likely due to their fanbase/owners...
99% of the A6s I see around are driven mildly...while many/most of the S4s are driven by younger, more spirited peeples.
And running stock, along with proper warm-up/cool-down/maint., will greatly prolong turbo lifespans.
