i've bought at tischer and len stoler. (more)
len stoler was more up front and straight about the transaction. i was buying at the end of the model year as the 2004's were coming out, and working with the manager directly, but it was extremely painless.
criswell - douschebags. the focker lied to me on the phone about costs in transporting cars, was constantly 'on a test drive' when i called, didn't return calls, made a horrible first offer (1500 over invoice when everyone else would do 500 first offer), wouldn't go out of his way at all to help me find what i want... etc etc
tischer - not bad. they sold the car i originally wanted after i had put a 500 holding fee on it, but worked a better deal and found me a better car to make up for it. great service, even back when i was 15-16 they would always be nice to me and treat me with respect when i'd come in to drool over the cars. always treated my fam very well tho. (audi that is, the porsche side sucks, had to make some appointments there a few years back and they were dicks about it)

i worked at stoler...my thoughts
excellent salespeople, great people to work with (both from a coworker's perspective and a customer's perspective)...their service department has been lacking as of late, as some great people ended up leaving there, but from what i understand they brought some new people in that could be good...they will also be moving into a new and nicer showroom in not too long, but that's not as important as the sales and service departments themselves...as for hunt valley, i've heard lots of horror stories about their service department....no experience w/ criswell, but rockville seems to have a decent operation, and I know tischer to be an excellent dealership....if there's anything i can do to help you out w/ stoler feel free to IM me at the Viper address...i still know several people there and i'd be happy to help out in any way i can
