Default Do you guys use Lift pads for you Jacks / Jackstands?

i saw these on PureMS and also the bentley manual mentions something about using lift pads, but i'm always a bit unsure about the best placement of my jack / jackstand when i'm workin on the car...

Are these worthwhile so as not to bend the lip on the underside, or do you guys have a better way to support the car....?

Thanks...

Sears jack? The red craftsman aluminum "light weight" one? If so, you said JC Whitney for that?

Default the sears one i have is the small $30 one...similar to the jack in the picture above.

i use the protech lift pad from Purems for the lightweight floor jack.

Default I have a set of sears jack w/ a pair of ramps.

ramps are cheap and a lot easier to use if you are not working on wheels/brakes.

They only have the 1007 listed which is 3.75" OD, PureMS also lists the 1006 (4.5" OD)

Default YEah, but i bought some coilovers (not installed yet)...doesnt the bumper hit the ramps...

i'd also like to upgrade my front bumper in the spring and i figured that it would rub on the ramps when you try and drive up em...

Default I have the Purems jack pads and like them. Allows you to jack right at weld...

and still leave room to fit a jackstand along the outside edge of the frame
