Default Not true. it is what you tell them one NEVER say Race or prepping to Race.

these are schools and are education only and many companies say no problem

Default I believe they will

but you have to be honest when getting your policy written up and tell them that you intend to have the car on the track.

Just a guess, based on some insurance issues that a friend had at the track a few years ago.

Default No need to tell them anything up front. That's like asking permission to park in a crappy

neighborhood. If they want to exclude something, they're the ones who draft the policy...

Default Insurance rates are partially based on where you live

So actually, you do have to ask permission to park your car in a given place

But I see your point...if we decide to go to a crappy part of the city for the night, we don't have to call for a rate adjustment. That makes sense.

My guess was based on a life insurance claim that wasn't honored because the death occurred on the track, during a race.

Default And what's their response when you explain to them that

they could AVOID potential accidents if they made an effort to learn how to drive better? I guess for the timid, at the very most you could get them to a chicken and egg point, where they believe that they need to put themselves in harm's way to stay out of harm's way. Heh.

(nevermind me, I'm just thinking out loud)

Default he was at a school event but the fact that it was being times makes it deemed racing...

in the eyes on the insurance company, read into it a little bit chris.

like i said it depends on the company but ask dave, he knows first hand
