Your cats remind me of my parents' cats. Our orange tabby was smart as hell. She played fetch, was pretty vocal, and if you were sick, she would come over and lay her belly on your face trying to make you feel better and stay by your side all day.

Our other cat was black and white (Persian?) and all she knew was how to eat and sleep.

Default Nope, Kate (the one on top) is the vocal clever one, Leo (on the bottom) rides the short bus
The only time he gets vocal is when his bowl is empty, is about to be empty or from any angle could be perceived as empty.
