Default Got a ticket in upstate NY will my insurance get hit with points in VA?

I haven't gotten a ticket in 10+ years and driving through nowhere NY I got pinched doing 87 in a 65.
I'm not sure if this is going to kill me on my rates here and it would be a pain to try to fight it.

Default all states report to all states so it doesn't matter where you get the ticket, if you don't fight it

it will get reported to your home state

2nd, if you haven't had one in 10+ years then don't worry, not likely to get a big increase.

Default Fight it by mail.....

...you can most likely get it reduced. 87 in a 65 is pretty serious and your insurance will take a hit.

OTOH NY only cares about the money so they'll probably drop it to a "no-points" violation and you pay the same fine.....

Default Usually if you pay the ticket, it won't show up in your home state

provided the two states in question do not have a reciprocity agreement in place. New York and Virginia do not have reciprocity. So pay the ticket and be done with it, it will not show up to a VA license.
