some people would be inclined to go to HBL (like my friends and "the ex") due to the locale if not for warnings such as this.
those who get these little routine oil changes and "covered" scheduled services with a smile (jiffy lube specials) are not providing adequate support/defense.
and finally, i don't think this forum will somehow resurrect itself from the gutter with less dealer bashing....at least as long as andrew posts here ;-D

I have responded to Matt's offer to talk and work things out. I have emailed him, and I will report back on any resolution.
Please note, that this is now the second email to him, which came after a call and letter.
Again, I'm getting another Audi, and it does tick me off that the closest dealer to where I work, allows this type of behavior.
If they make an effort to resolve it, I'd be happy to let it all go.

so you wasted a morning and you have a busy schedule? sh*t happens. to top it off, didn't this happen like 6 months ago?
Don't get me wrong, I've had mutiple TERRIBLE expereinces with both HBL Audi and Mercedes sales AND service (car wrecked while in for service and attempt to hide damage, service drove 1500 miles with car while @ shop, sales man going nuts on me bcs I decided not to buy from him after he re-sold the car to someone else for more $$ after I had signed and put deposit on it, denying $8K warranty claim for failed tranny, things stolen from car while in for warranty work, etc. etc. etc.)
but its all in the past. just give bad marks on the survey and got over it.

And, with the service and warranty, it fairly sad to have to drive into another state to get good service.
And, Matt has indicated he does want to resolve the issue. I've emailed him, and if it gets resolved, I say so.
If not, the red flags will continue to go up!

and I live and work in Tysons, two mins from HBL, which is why I keppt going back and giving them another chance. I've had nothing but bad luck with them and have stopped trying. Just came out of warranty anyway, so no more dealers for me
