I'm addicted to the touchless car wash machine at the Exxon at Spring Hill and Rt 7.

For the price of a sandwich, and 3 minute investment of time, my car ends up mostly clean! Credit card swipe, no dirty rags drying me off, no tips.
Clean enough to spruce up later in the garage.

The thing is, theoretically, there is obviously a tradeoff you're making with the touchless washes.
Benefit is that you don't have anything possibly scratching your car. Downside is that the detergent is probably much harsher. It's still no substitute for a good old-fashioned hand wash by yourself.
But when it gets to be 20 deg. outside and your apartment shuts off the car wash area, there's no substitute, I guess.

Posted about this before
