Default I've used it before, among others. They never get the car all that clean, and certainly NEVER the

wheels. I usually just pay the messicans $14 at the hand-wash place further up 7 towards the mall. They do the interior too.

Yes. You sit still and the machine goes over the car.

FYI for the MontCo folks - the Mobile station on Mateney and Great Seneca has touchless carwash.

Default Well, your car is so dirty that it's no wonder why the touchless machine doesn't work well for you.

And yes, the wheels are a problem. You have to spray some wheel cleaner yourself or scrub them prior to going in.

I only listen to FOX. They are the only ones who report the news...instead of trying to make news..

Default For those who don't mind the touch car washes, Dr. Wash on Rt 50 does

a decent job. $21 for full inside-outside w/ undercarriage and 'wheel brite' which actually seems to work reasonably. The workers even wipe the door jambs and trunk lid.

Default Had a pro detailer tell me the touchless ones are WORSE than the soft touch ones...

reason being is that they have to use harsher chemicals to dissolve the dirt and grime off your paint and higher pressure to rinse it off.

I've been using a place in Leesburg for over a year now on both my old A4 and my allroad that's a soft touch wash and they've always done an incredible job.

I believe that the touch ones scratching your car is an old wives tale.

Default Yeah, and there are also folks who claim that washing your car by hand is worse than running it

through a machine.

People will say all sorts of things.

I do believe the chemicals are harsher, as I mentioned before. Yes, it is a tradeoff. I still trust the touchless machines more, however.
