are there any signs as to why the belt let loose so early? poor reinstallatino job when the guys redid the heads when you were having issues after the turbo swap perhaps?

Most logical would be to toss in a used motor and just freshen it up before tossing it in.

Good luck, and sorry about all the trouble you've hit with this car... real bummer!

Default I, for one, want to see that car finished and running. I support option 3.

Maybe pick up a European spec RS motor? Did they send the Euro spec to Canadia?

Default only potential issue with #3 is that...

that valve might have really butchered the block if it got knocked around and then through the head into the exhaust.

might be better to just swap stuff over to a new, known good long block... depending on knee deep he wants to get
