Maryland Vehicle Inspection...nothing aftermarket?
I moved to Baltimore in July, and have a few aftermarket parts on the car. Probably nothing noticeable, k04, chip, injectors, fuel pressure regulator, ECS pulley. Today I went to get a custom exhaust done, and they noticed my out of state plates. He asked if I was going to register to MD, and have an inspection done. He stated they would not pass my car with an aftermarket exhaust. What about my drilled/slotted rotors? An exhaust system fails a vehicle even if the catylitic converter is stock?

According to the books, aftermarket exhaust is a no-no.
IME. you need to find a **** of an inspector to flag you for exhaust and drilled rotors. The way I interpret the exhaust law is that you can't have 'loud' aftermarket exhaust...otherwise a Midas muffler would be illegal!
The inspections are safety inspections, I guess loud(er) exhausts cause accidents!?

I have heard of people mentioning this...
You really have to find out what the law says word for word. As mentioned below, if any non-OEM exhaust was illegal, and midas installed muffler would be ground for rejection. That's just rediculous (doesn't make sense). If there is a noise requirement, then measure your car to see if it passes the noise requirement.

I have an Ractive high flow muffler for the rear and a high flow resonator for the middle. I wanted
someone to do the 2.5" piping/welding and install. Does this sound like it will be too loud?
