it sure is a damn good tool. amazing how much one can learn from just a couple laps. i wish i had video from the next day when i was trying out some of Randy's moves.

Default i'll have to take a closer look. i was hitting

130-135mph on the back (braking at 1), 125-130 on the front (braking at 4.5-4), and entering the uphill esses at 115-120mph.

...any time i have a passenger (and we have a communicator) we always seem to be talking about everything other than whats happening at the moment...

Default the real payoff is when you have data acq.

and you can get the data from their laps to overlay with your laps...you can see exactly where/what the speed differential is and then discuss with the pro what you need to do differently...

with the influx of lower priced (gps based) data systems, i think we'll start seeing them a lot more in DE's...

Default data acq has been my biggest frustration. ok, so i tried a different line and it *felt* faster

but was it really? it's hard enough trying to keep track of entry/exit speeds. i'll be looking into the different options during this off-season, even just a cheap video cam.

Default yep, often what feels faster is actually slower...

or being faster in one section can adversley affect your overall lap time...

...and data doesnt lie...it gives you a real picture of what/where you need to work on to get faster...
