Default Need to get my car inspected - recommendations on VA stations that will overlook my ride height?

the bottom of my bumper is well under the minimum 14 inches from the ground and I don't want to go through the hassle of cranking up the coilovers just for a flippin day. I work in Tyson's so somewhere around here is best.

Yeah after being here a year I'm finally going to register my car. hah!

Default Seriously? I didn't even know this was a requirement.

I was always worried that my blackout tails would not pass but I've never had a problem yet. Just go and do it, I doubt anyone will say boo.

Default Are you sure thats the requirement for the ride height???

most places have requirements for the minimum height from ground to fender since many cars have lower bumpers that others.

if the bumper clearance was the case how the hell do ferrari's and what not pass???

Default what did yours measure??

I doubt mine would pass if 14" is the requirement, and that is w/ the lift kit.

I haven't measured it but I can't even bend my foot up to stand heel-to-toe under it

Default From the VSP Safety Inspection website:

linky

"What are the bumper height laws in the state of Virginia?

Section 46.2-1063 states:

Alteration of suspension system; bumper height limits; raising body above frame rail. -- No person shall drive on a public highway any motor vehicle registered as a passenger motor vehicle if it has been modified by alteration of its altitude from the ground to the extent that its bumpers, measured to any point on the lower edge of the main horizontal bumper bar, exclusive of any bumper guards, are not within the range of fourteen inches to twenty-two inches above the ground..."

although now this makes me wonder if they mean the front face of the bumper and not the lip.
