Default Wait for your dad or take them to a shop. If you are in baltimore...

...gerry's tire on Central Ave. Tell them matt with the audi sent you. They can handle the task.

Default Re: noobish Q but how do i swap wheels..

1. loosen lug bolts while car is on ground (1/2 turn at the most ... just trying to break them free)

2. jack car up at designated jack points (see manual)

3. remove lug nuts and take wheel off car

4. put new wheel on car (make sure the tire will be rotating the correct direction)

5. tighten lugs by HAND until tight

6. lower car to ground

7. torque lugs to proper spec in the correct STAR pattern

8. repeat

9. Collect underpants.

10. ...

11. Profit!

And yes, every instructional post I make today will have the underpants SP episode reference in it.

Default step away from the emergency tools

You're risking your safety and your car by using the emergancy tools. Go buy a proper hydraulic jack, some jack stands, a torque wrench and a set of sockets before proceeding any further.

Default this should sum up your process...no, i don't have pictures.

1. take center cap off.
2. loosen lug nuts with either device from trunk or a large socket from tools...
3. jack up car, preferably not the jack that from trunk.
4. loosen the lug nuts until they are in your hand, take off wheel.
5. put new wheel on.
6. replace lug nuts with new lug nuts if they came with it.
7. tighten lug nuts in a star shaped pattern for even tightness.
8. lower jack.
9. tighten the lugnuts until you can't tighten them anymore.
10. repeat with remaining 3 wheels.

Default Umm, not to be picky but why would you lower the car before torquing down the lugs?

That's a recipe for vibration

Default you should really use a torque wrench to tighten the wheels to the proper spec...

Overtightening can do damnage to the wheel/rotor/hub
