NoVa folk: Nice restaurants near the Birchmere in Alexandria?

Taking the wifey to a concert and birthday dinner tomorrow evening in Alexandria. Who has a suggestion for a mid-level (above brewpub, below Morton's) retaurant in the area?

The Birchmere has a restaurant inside it. It's been about 5 or 6 years since we went there so
I really don't recall exactly what's on the menu, but it was pretty tradtional type stuff if I recall. Either way, they have it posted on their website. They open the doors early so people can go in and eat and have wait staff that will come to your table even while the show's going on.
We came straight from NC and my parents met us and picked up our youngest and we went straight there, so we didn't eat anywhere else. Thankfully for us hungry travelers we ate an appetizer or two there.

RT's is the best and closest to the Birchmere. Very good restaurant.

Little late, but you can head up to the Evening Star in Del Ray (not too far away). The upstairs bar
serves good food and good beer. You also have Taqueria Poblano and Los Tios for decent food and margaritas.
