mostly recovered from four days at VIR. this was my first time doing back-to-back 2-day events. great seeing and running w/ Mike (red MkIV GTI) and JCB (silver A3). had a couple really challenging runs with Bob, including the off in Turn 10. good to see Will (grey A3) out there again and chatting with the rest of yous AW folk (John K.: you need some stickier rear tires ![Wink](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
huge thanks to Team Janica Racing for allowing Jeremy and me (ok, mostly me) to take over a corner space in their garages. it's always great to hang out with you folks.
overall, the events were great if a bit colder than average temps should be for the area. my car ran well with the new NT01s. i finished off a set of Carbotech XP12s after the first day (2 days at Shenandoah, 1 day at VIR) and installed a new set for the next 3 days. i think the cold temps really helped pad life as the newer set is still nice and meaty. i popped a CEL a couple times in the pits but VCDS said nothing major and they went away after restarting the car.
both Randy Pobst and Mark White were around as TJR's guests and hopping in and out of cars. Randy asked to drive my car to compare with the APR GTIs which he said never felt "right" or "normal" and, as expected, that ride was a total hoot. video here
Jeremy and i were both running gopro cameras so i'll have more video online soon.
thanks again to all the volunteers, staff, instructors, and attendees. hope to see everyone at the track next year!

It's very hard for me to see the video (especially on my crappy work monitor). Are there adujustments you can make, or is it all auto-mode?

even when he over-cooked it.
reliability really hurt the APR cars. whether it was VW's or APR's fault depends on who you talk to.

but not a whole lot of options for setting. It's pretty much START / STOP.
Here's the one I ran at Seefeld.

It kicks ***. Before taking it to Austria, I tested it on commutes to work and speeds up to 70.
All of this video was shot with a gopro.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=biAbixn2jlk</a
