I went to pep boys and got some silicone connectors, and 3" 45 degree bent pipe, and a cone adapter. They sell all of these in the ricer intake building section at my local store. I got my filter from www.intenseperformance.com, it's a Big Mouth Cone and has a makeup similar to K&N and a built in velocity stack with a side View like this: /V\
I then ran a 3' accordion intake hose from my lower bumper grill up to the V part of the cone so the air is being forced in faster as I get up to speed. I also have a $30 heat shield that they sell in the ricer section of Pep Boys, working on fabricating a good one eventually.
First of all, it sounds great. Very aggressive, a definite sucking sound,, like it's hungry for alot more air. I felt a definite difference on the butt dyno without the ram hose, and with it, as ou get up to speed, there is a feelable amount of power difference over the stock airbox.
