I would work in the Grand Caymen island starting in September, anyone ever been there before? I've done a fair amount of research, and i'm seriously thinking about it. What the hell do i have to lose, I'm still young, and i have nothing tying me down right now. I would always be able to come back and work in DC when the program was over. Thoughts anyone?

With what company?
I'd consider it depending on the company history and what others have done it and come back.. Sometimes projects like that don't pay the full perk (read: Bonus) until 12 or 18 months (completetion) thru, and if you bail.. For whatever reason, you can forfeit some money/etc.
Not sure about 18 months, but 12 or less they should fully pay for your housing out of town, and at least a trip back every 6 weeks.

Deloitte. . .
I work for one of the remaining public accounting firms. The housing is not covered because it is built into the added compensation. Surprisingly, the cost of living is higher in Georgetown, Grand Cayman, then it is here in D.C.. I've spoken with a few people at my firm, who have done this, and they've had nothing but great experiences. It surely couldn't be any worse than working 80 hour weeks. I feel this is my opportunity to travel, and have the firm pay for it. But i still have alot to research. Thanks.

You'll also get valuable experience in setting up off-shore accounts for avoiding taxes!!!
Do it and then come back and let risch people hire you to do their "special needs" accounting!

I looked at them for a project there before joining bearingpoint
It was a 12 or 14 month tax/hr/finance system implementation project. I think all of the big 4 accounting groups and the big 5 consulting groups have practices there.. I hear there is tons of money.
Ask to go down for a 2-3 day period and meet the folks. I'm sure that is within reason. Feel it out. Don't decide based on "Yay Grand Cayman!" and then regret the whole atmosphere.

just curious, but what do you do now . . .
obviously, something prosperous to get a B6 S4. I wanted to put in my time with the firm, and then move to better opportunities. Currently, I work on the audit and assurance side.

well
I used to work on the information security consulting side (but not part of Deloitte Consulting). They didn't really pay that well, considering my office was in NYC and I had to travel a lot, all over the country. Not to mention they had me doing crappy (non-technical) work too often. Now I work for a company more focused on technology rather than accounting and audit.
