For those of you who met him --
He hit black ice, hit the barrier, and flipped 4 times.

4 spins maybe, but def not 4 flips...still, it's enough to total. :/

Just plastic and metal, though...could have been worse.

Although people complain about the lack of reliability of Audis, the manufacturer's safety record is exceptional.
