I really dont want to have to put my cat on just for the test. Is there any tricks i can do to pass ? Any ideas are appreciated.

so there is no sniffer test.

FWIW, my 20+ year old 944 with a gutted cat just went through emissions. All the numbers were good except for NOCs on the 15mph test which were just barely over the limit. (And this was with a tail pipe sniffer test.)

Emission tests don't do visual inspections. They are only concerned with what's coming out of the tailpipe.

just take it to the local gas station where you know the inspection guy
