You have a weight advantage to start with, which helps out on all dynamics. You shouldn't have bad torque steer problems until you are well over 250HP.

I am not saying that the Fronttrack car is no good, its more that as a modding platform there is a point of diminishing returns that can be disappointing at some point in the future. I am speaking from experience on my worked Corrado. It just never was going to be the car I wanted because of FWD.

Sure, you can't go much higher, but 250HP out of a 1.8 is pushing it pretty hard already. For a daily driver and occasional track car, that would be great. AWD lets you handle more HP, but it is overrated in some ways.
There will always be limitations in any car.

Long as I'm not dragging I should be ok with traction. The power will make for a good street car. Also not that it makes a big difference but I should be lighter than another quattro b6 and put down little bit more power to ground ( less drivetrain loss ). But overall I like my car, if I really needed more I would have traded up for a b5 s4.

.... 1.8t is not a bad car. RMcQ was taking the view that the frontrac limits the development potential of the car. My thought was that there was a lot of room to develop before the front drive became a problem; and until you hit that point, the FWD would give you certain advantages.
Congrats on getting 300. That's impressive. How much modification was needed to the transmission pieces?
All that being said, taking a 175 HP motor up to 250 HP is a substantial bump, and we can differ on what "pushing it" means, but just looking at the numbers, it's well stretched. The most Audi ever got out of it, stock, is 225, right?
