I've made another half-baked, going-to-regret-it, stop-gap purchase (DeWalt electric impact wrench), and was wondering if I could use some of my non-impact socket hardware with the impact wrench.
I purposely got the highest torque unit I could find (345 ft/lbs) and decided to forego cordlessness. I should probably bite the bullet and go for a compressor, but my tool needs are very narrow. I'm trying to speed up the many ordinary tasks (e.g. taking off wheels) that go pretty slowly now.
And it was relatively inexpensive ($180).

Could you return it? Because I have another suggestion...
- <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/midatlantic/msgs/205419.phtml">could use it at HPDE too</a>
APK-S4 could attest to their usefulness from Nov VIR...
For inexpensive 1/2" drive impact sockets...
Walmart has a set of Stanley metric deep impact sockets for like $20 in a yellow colored plastic case. It served me fine for the last 1.5 yrs.

1. Cordless = lower torque.
2. At the track, I use a cheap cordless drill to take off/on. I loosen w/ a socket then use the drill. Putting on, I need to torque them anyway.
3. Corded = cheaper. Me = cheaper.
4. Batteries fade. Makes me sad.
5. Batteries bad for the environment. (Now I'm just making s#*t up.)

For changing tires at the track, the cordless is great.
For what you want to do (I assume your suspension), that Goodyear battery powered impact wrench will be totally useless.
You can easily put out more torgue with your bare hands than the goodyear battery one. I recently needed to loosen some bolts and tried my goodyear, but nothing.
I think you're making the right decision of corded over battery, but I really would have gotten the air compressor and air tools. But, you have your reasons.
