Default oh! yeah, that Goodyear def not good for loosing stubborn suspension...

I forgot that you might be looking for a lot of torque...

My solution for those cases are:
- PB Blaster overnight soak,
- breaker bar (use inexpensive to replace or life time guarantee), with
- floor jack handle as a leverage extension

Default Imagine a series of nuts screwed on in a (VW) plant in Germany in 1988. Then for 20...

... years, the car gets driven about, collecting dust moisture, etc. Then an overeducated NOOB decides he wants those nuts to come off. You're gonna need some torque.

I got it for the torque and to reduce the time it takes to unbolt stuff. My aborted effort to do my rear coilovers involve 2+ hours of routine un-bolting wheels, sway bars, etc.

Default gotcha...

Even tho my Miata is 1/2 the age of your 944, when I was preping it last winter... It took me a whole wkend + 1 day to put new shocks in my coilovers.

And it took me a good week or so to replace all my suspension bushings. Of course, I'm usually not the 'bigger hammer' type, so I would often stop, scratch my head (surf the web forums for info...etc) when something doesn't go the way I thought it should go (or come off).

Reg sockets will be fine, until they split and break.

Default well that's always a good thing...

to date, I haven't busted a single one of my craftsman sockets or extensions... i did explode a 1/4" universal joint and snap 2 screwdrivers in half, but I was def exceeding their capacity at the time :-P
