Default It all comes down to the pinch bolt that holds the upper control arms

This bolt can come loose in 15 seconds or it can reduce grown men to sobbing, wasted shells of DIY enthusiasm covered in PB Blaster and metal shavings.

Assuming you get the pinch bolt out there isn't much too it. Before you jack the car loosen the axle end bolt (you might need a 17mm allen tool). You remove all the bolts around the transaxle (assuming we are talking front) flange and then remove the axle end bolt all the way. Pull the joint out of the suspension upright with the wiggle room afforded by removing upper control arms (pinch bolt).

That's really it. The whole job hinges on the pinch bolt. How long has it been in place? Much salt driving?

Pinch bolt on my driver's side took an hour. Other side was easy. Raxles = <$200 shipped.

Default Where is "down". I consider NoVa to be the other side of the world.

There is a possibility that I could help if you really need it, but I'm not going to pretend that I can burn whole days doing mod sessions with AWMA. Not that I don't want to be helpful, but I have 3 kids, wifey, a boat to dewinterize, trophy rockfish to catch starting April 15th, a business purchase to conclude, a job to quit, lacrosse to coach, a PTA fundraising 5K race to chair, and my HOA board seat to occupy.

It might be easier for me if you came to my garage for some in and out service, but the pinch bolt is too risky. You would have to break the pinch bolt free first and if successful bring it over and we could swap the axles in little time.

Default SOP for utilizing RMcQs help/expertise/garage

He was even kind enough to let me drop ship my H-Sports to his house, and then I drove to him as he helped me with the install. Scheduled a weekend where he was free, and we knocked it out.
