there is no extra cost other than my time to add to that lil "expense sheet" on the 4000... thanks to you, actually.
Remember the lil china-man you picked up all those CGT parts for free? Yeah, had a rather new looking fuel pump and accumulator there. SO yeah, will only cost me my time and frustration, but I'm OK with that![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
And don't remind me of the $$ I dropped into this $200 car... lol. I think I might be sick now... damn you.

i had half tank full.. apparently though they take out the back seat to work on it and since i had a lot of gas left, kinda left a smell. at least thats the explanation Frick gave me.

so it's generally easier to lay down the back seats and go in through the access cover. You can see it when you pull up and remove your spare tire cover/trunk rug.
They probably dribbled a lil gas on the rug/back of rear seat, which would explain the smell.
I had no lingering smell in my car when I R&R'd my fuel level sender when my gauge was acting funky way back when. Unfortunately my dad was kind enough to fill the tank for me... RIGHT before I had to submerge my hand in the tank to get the sender out... lol.

Boy was I cursing you that day. The man had 3 cars in his driveway, so I had to park on his cul-de-sac, and it was POURING down rain.
He tried to get away with standing in his garage so that I could make 3 or 4 trips back and forth to the trunk of my car to load all the stuff. I told him to come help me. He was not happy with me, but whatever!
Glad that something out of there was salvageable though.

I gave away pretty much half or more of that stuff for shipping costs to some of the CGT/4000 people and tossed a lot of the rest.
Kept a few odd ball things for myself that had *potential* of dying down the road like the fuel pump, fuel accumulator, HVAC/Heater fan, power mirror switch, brake master cylinder and a few other odds and ends.
That stuff now resides in my attic next to all the brake parts that will eventually find their way onto the 4000 in due time
