I bought a stubby 8mm hex socket on e-bay - turned out to be GM surplus. Who knew?

Default Since most American cars are sold abroad...

Fords have always been metric though.

Default Yea, i had to have one to get the calipers off the truck. Luckily we had one but..

we had to borrow a 1/2in extension. I wish i had my tools and we wouldnt have had needed anything.

Default my 1st car, '78 Ford Mustang-II (ie: glorified Pinto) was metric

I *think* it was back in early '70s when they all went metric...

Not in the 87 bronco i had or the 88 ford ranger.... Maybe it changed recently.

You sure about the Ranger? I coulda sworn our 86 Ranger was metric back in the day
