Default Hmmm, I'll throw some fluid in and see if the pump works

My car lives in the garage. I took her out last night at 7:20PM, brought her back home at 12:30AM. What was the temp last night? 24 degrees?

She hadn't come out of the garage for over a week before that and my garage was at 45 degrees.

If someone can confirm that they're the same on a B6 as they are on a B5, I'll buy them off of you.

Default That's funny, I was just thinking that

I don't drive the car enough. With my summer wheels, I had one of the tires separate a couple of months back, so I've been on the spare. But since I don't like driving on the spare, I've basically not driven the car. I've been driving the truck all over.

But I just put the winter wheels on and I have a spare again, so the car is going to start getting driven again. I do miss the car.

Heh, too bad you live in DC. I generally don't take my Audi to DC if I can help it.

The pump works. Does that mean it's not cracked or could it still be potentially cracked?

Default In my case, the exterior casing of the pump cracked causing it to leak. There is a good chance that

the pump may still work since the motor/electronics are still intact. You can jack up the car and pull off the driver side wheel wheel cover to take a better peak and confirm what broke.

https://www.audiworld.com/tech/misc28.shtml

Default That's a good article

I just learned that my headlight washer pump (which has been dead for two years) does not require removal of the bumper to replace.

Second, I'll have to take off the wheel well liner and figure out exactly where the crack is. Then I'll jsut order the parts online.

Thanks for the link.
