Default So those of you who left on Sunday night missed out...

On the rain Monday morning for the first two sessions of the Track Daze event. Found out I need some aero help for my lone wiper at high(ish) speeds on the straights. Was good fun though and great learning experience. Couple cars had safe spins, couple others some minor tire wall contact . Sorry no pics or video, video camera is on xmas list.

Overall, another great event from Track Daze so check them out and hit their events. <shameless plug in hopes for free events>

Default 2nd. nearly-full treaded Toyo R888 kick **** in the rain. i felt sorry passing all those cars

on full-slicks, watching them attempt to stay on track. nah, not really

thanks again to everyone who stuck around for the TrackDaze event and to Bobster and Jason for helping out. 2 hours of track time, hanging out, replacing 924 coolant hoses is 1000x better than working.

I didn't feel sorry for them, what better time to practice racing in the rain.

Default I luv learning in the WET! (Vid setup info inside)

My recommended camera setup. clicky. Brings you to thread on another forum, where I learned about it.
- inexpensive (total setup <$200 easily, including mounting)
- fixed focus (no moving parts or confused autofocus)
- direct memory card write (no moving parts, easy data xfer)
- light wgt (no need for expensive camera mount w/ damper and all)

Default you should try some true rain tires...

...you'll think the toyos suck in the rain... ;-)

Default i would think so but

lugging around 2 sets of track tires for my un-trailered, daily-driven, stock GTI would be silly

Default solution...

drive down on shaved toyos (if its dry) and bring rains in the car with you...or vice versa if its raining for the drive to/from ;-)
