Symphony FAIL: backlighting stays on, radio doesn't turn on/off.

I am so unimpressed with RNS-E anyway. That whole four corners of the screen trying to correspond to 4 buttons off to the side, that's just dumb. Plus, the various components (nav, CD changer, etc.) don't match the dash color scheme of red. If I were spending money on an in-car nav, it wouldn't be an RNS-E. RNS-E looks like it's a "oh hey, me too, we got that!" feature. It's clearly an after-thought and is a rushed together "feature" to keep up with the competition. That's what Nissan does, not Audi. MMI is nice. That's done right.
Save your money Rob, if you want nav, buy a TomTom. It's way cheaper, has more features, and is portable. For how little you actually need Nav, the money spent on RNS-E is a waste.

Since he'll:
A: Only be using it in the car...
B: Will need to get mounted in some non-period correct way,
C: Will have to get detached every time he gets out for fear of getting broken into at the commuter lot,
D: Will still require him to spend money to replace the factory radio.
E: Has built in memory card slots making an extra expense for iPod integration less needed.
For Rob's needs, stick with OEM... and I don't say that often.

It takes two seconds to mount/dismount the thing. You throw it in the centre console and it's hidden. K can use it in her car if need be too. He already bought what he needed for iPod, so that expense is done.

Replaced the fuse as soon as I got home, and the stoopid radio works again.
Thanks!
