package, cold weather and xenon. I know quattro is only really usefull 1-2% of the time, but when it is you really appreciate it.
It was a fun car to drive, the 2.0T was quick and nimble. Loved how the salesman told me to push it around corners.
This was at Audi of Hunt Valley. I hadnt had fun experiences with the salespeople there when I was just looking before this, but bob the guy I dealt with, was very nice.
So go test drive an A3 if you get the chance.

I find Quattro useful much more than 1-2% of the time. Everytime it rains it is very useful.
when I get loaner cars that are front wheel drive and it rains, I really notice how much of a difference AWD makes.

FWD would be fine (and in some ways better) if you did not want to mod the engine.
Assuming dry roads, and all other things being equal, a FWD car will be lighter and probably more tossable. But if you want to put 250+HP out, AWD becomes more important. I'm not sure I would want to pay an Audi premium for a car that is largely VW DNA.
